Just in: Israeli airstrike in Gaza kills dozens, including children
DDM News

At least 48 Palestinians, including 22 children and 15 women, have been confirmed dead following a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes on northern Gaza.
Officials at the Indonesian Hospital in Jabalia reported the fatalities after strikes hit multiple residential areas, including homes in Jabalia town and its refugee camp.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that scenes of devastation followed the bombings, with rescue teams working tirelessly through the rubble in a desperate search for survivors.
Footage circulating on social media and broadcast networks showed bodies of victims laid out on the hospital floor, a chilling reminder of the mounting civilian toll.
The Israeli military has acknowledged the airstrikes but stated it is “looking into the reports” of civilian deaths.
Military officials added that evacuation warnings had been issued to residents in Jabalia and surrounding areas the night before the strikes, following rocket fire launched from the territory.
However, local sources and humanitarian organizations argue that most residents had nowhere safe to go, as the entire northern Gaza region remains under siege.
UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher called on the United Nations Security Council to intervene immediately to “prevent genocide” in Gaza.
Fletcher accused Israel of “deliberately and unashamedly imposing inhumane conditions on civilians” and demanded the end of Israel’s blockade, which has restricted humanitarian aid for over ten weeks.
In response, Israel’s UN ambassador, Danny Danon, defended the ongoing blockade, claiming that much of the international aid is being redirected to support Hamas’s war efforts.
Meanwhile, American diplomats are en route to Qatar in a renewed effort to negotiate a ceasefire and secure the release of 58 hostages reportedly held by Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that military operations would escalate further if Hamas fails to release the captives soon.
The latest escalation has triggered global condemnation and renewed debates over proportionality, humanitarian law, and the ethics of warfare in civilian-populated zones.
The Gaza Strip has been under a strict Israeli blockade since 2007, following the takeover of the region by Hamas.
The blockade has significantly limited access to food, water, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies, pushing the local population into severe humanitarian distress.
Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Jabalia, one of the most densely populated refugee camps in Gaza, has been targeted repeatedly.
The region has suffered infrastructure collapse, loss of civilian life, and displacement of tens of thousands.
The situation remains volatile as diplomatic solutions remain elusive and military actions continue unabated.
Calls for international intervention are growing louder, with human rights organizations urging immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza.
