Protest has broken out in Kano Metropolis over the controversial Judgment by the Court of Appeal which affirmed the judgment of the Kano State Governorship Election Tribunal that ousted the State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasiru Gawuna, as the winner.
Meanwhile, security has been reinforced in the city to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
