A Chinese expatriate on Friday night killed a Nigerian lady, Ummukhulsum Sani Buhari, also known as Ummita, at Jambulo in Kofar Dukayuwa, Kano State.
It was learnt that Ummita, from the well-known Ummukulsum family in the northern state, and the Chinese man were in a relationship. Other sources say the Asian was only a suitor.
A little misunderstanding reportedly occurred prompting the accused to call Ummita repeatedly and she was said to have ignored his phone calls. He subsequently headed to their home, and bang at their door repeatedly, which made Ummita’s mother furious, and decided to confront him.
The Chinese pushed her as she opened the door and headed straight in where he located Ummita, stabbed, butchered, and slit her throat.
