President Donald Trump has declared that the United States will defend both itself and Israel if Iran retaliates for the recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Trump issued the warning after Israel launched a sweeping military operation on June 13, targeting Iranian nuclear enrichment and weapons development sites.

The strikes have rattled the region and disrupted U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations that were set to resume this week.

“Iran must not mistake our resolve. If provoked, we will defend our allies and our own forces,” Trump said from the White House.

The Israeli campaign, dubbed Operation Rising Lion, reportedly involved over 200 fighter jets and struck multiple high-value targets in Tehran and Natanz.

Iranian leaders, enraged by the attack, have threatened to retaliate not only against Israel but also U.S. bases across the Middle East.

Iranian state officials warned that American military installations in Iraq, Syria, and the Gulf could face immediate retaliation if further Israeli strikes occur.

In response, the U.S. has moved swiftly to shield its interests.

Diplomats were withdrawn from Baghdad and Erbil, while military family members stationed in Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait were approved for voluntary departure.

A Pentagon official confirmed that U.S. aircraft carriers and missile defense systems in the Gulf region remain on high alert.

“We are taking all necessary precautions to protect American lives,” the official said.

The Biden administration’s successor has been walking a delicate line—supporting Israel’s right to self-defense while trying to revive nuclear talks with Iran.

Trump insisted that diplomacy remains an option but warned Tehran against escalation.

“We are open to diplomacy, but not at the cost of security,” Trump said. “Iran should not mistake our patience for weakness.”

Iran, meanwhile, has appealed to the United Nations for urgent intervention, accusing Israel of committing “state terrorism.”

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called the Israeli strikes “satanic” and vowed severe retaliation.

Regional tensions have since soared. Hezbollah and Houthi militias issued statements of solidarity with Iran, raising fears of a wider proxy conflict.

Israeli cities remain under high alert, with anti-missile defense systems activated across the country.

Flights over the region have been suspended, and oil markets reacted sharply to the news, with crude prices surging amid fears of a broader war.

Analysts warn that any Iranian strike on U.S. assets could draw Washington deeper into direct confrontation, further complicating efforts to restore the 2015 nuclear agreement.

For now, Trump’s declaration signals a hardening U.S. stance.

As Tehran prepares a possible response, both American and Israeli forces rem

ain braced for escalation.
