JUST IN: Why Mamu Tukur, terrorists’ negotiator was arrested — DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS), has revealed why the lead negotiator between the terrorists and passengers abducted from the infamous Abuja-Kaduna train, Alhaji Tukur Mamu, was arrested.

News Band reports that the former negotiator who was reportedly on his way to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj, was detained at the Cairo International Airport for 24 hours.

Mamu said he left Nigeria Tuesday and after being investigated by the Egyptian security agencies, nothing incriminating was found in his possession

However, the secret police in a statement by its spox, Peter Afunnaya, said Mamu Tukur was arrested because he was a “person of interest”.
