The event was graced by former APC National Chairman and immediate past Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alongside other influential leaders.

Party stakeholders used the meeting to highlight Tinubu’s achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which they said had begun reshaping Nigeria’s economy and governance.

According to speakers at the gathering, the president’s focus on infrastructural expansion, social empowerment programmes, and economic stabilization policies formed a compelling reason to back his return to office.

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and several lawmakers representing Kano constituencies reaffirmed their loyalty to Tinubu’s leadership.

They pledged to mobilize Kano’s massive voting strength to guarantee victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.

Party elders described Tinubu as a reform-minded leader whose governance style has introduced visible changes in public administration and national planning.

They argued that sustaining his administration beyond 2027 would consolidate the ongoing reforms and fast-track Nigeria’s development trajectory.

Ganduje, who played a central role in the deliberations, assured party members that the APC in Kano would remain united and committed to Tinubu’s political success.

He maintained that the state’s APC structure, which historically delivers significant votes during national elections, would stand firmly behind the president’s candidacy.

The endorsement in Kano is seen by political analysts as a critical boost for Tinubu, given the state’s long-standing role as a key political stronghold in Northern Nigeria.

Observers note that securing Kano’s support early could significantly shape the dynamics of the 2027 campaign.

Tinubu’s administration, inaugurated in May 2023, has faced challenges including economic hardship, inflation, and security concerns.

However, supporters insist that his policy choices are laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and greater national stability.

With Kano APC’s endorsement, political attention is now turning to other northern states to gauge whether similar declarations will follow.

The development underscores the ruling party’s strategy of consolidating internal loyalty ahead of what promises to be a fiercely contested 2027 general election.
