Kelsey’s Former Bodyguard Claims Kelsey Harris Shot Megan Thee Stallion, Not Tory Lanez (Watch Video)

A surprising development has emerged in the high-profile case surrounding the 2020 shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion, as a former bodyguard for Kelsey Harris has come forward claiming Harris — not convicted rapper Tory Lanez — fired the gun that injured Megan.

According to statements shared by Lanez’s legal team, Bradley James, Harris’s former bodyguard and driver, allegedly heard Harris admit to discharging the firearm during the July 2020 incident. The defense claims Harris fired three shots at Megan Thee Stallion while holding the gun, and that Lanez’s intervention may have caused the weapon to discharge further.

The defense is presenting this testimony to argue that Lanez was wrongly convicted. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2022 on charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered weapon. Lanez’s attorneys say the new claim could provide grounds for re-evaluating the conviction, though no official court proceedings have yet incorporated this statement.

Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team, however, has strongly rejected the claim. Attorney Alex Spiro emphasized that the shooting case was thoroughly investigated and adjudicated, calling the recent allegations “misdirection” that do not change the overwhelming evidence supporting Lanez’s conviction. Megan herself has also publicly reaffirmed the original trial’s verdict, stating that justice was served.

The revelation has ignited intense debate across social media. Some observers argue that the new account warrants further investigation, while others insist the judicial system already provided a fair and thorough trial. Legal experts caution that until verified by authorities or introduced in court, the bodyguard’s claim remains unconfirmed and purely anecdotal.

This development marks another dramatic chapter in one of the most closely watched cases in the music industry, demonstrating how contentious legal battles can continue to evolve years after a verdict is reached.
