The kidnapped Pastor of United Church of Christ, Rev Iliya Anto has been found dead, according to the police.

Rev Anto is one of the three pastors kidnapped along Kaduna- Abuja express Way.

The two other Pastors kidnapped along with Anto have, however, regained their freedom after 10 days in the hands of their abductors.

The surviving Pastors are Rev Dr. Emmanuel Dziggau and Rev Yakubu Dzarma.

The Church has confirmed the death of their pastor, Rev Anto.

HEKAN General Secretary, Rev Jibrailu Wobiya made the confirmation.

He said their President, Rev Emmanuel Dziggau and Retired Rev Yakubu Dzarma were freed from their Abductors on Wednesday 30 March 2016.

He said the released Pastors are now receiving treatment in an undisclosed Hospital in Kaduna.

The three HEKAN Pastors were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen at the proposed HEKAN Theological Seminary Permanent Site along Kaduna.

In a similar vein, the Nigerian Army, a fortnight earlier, informed the public that Colonel Samaila Inusa who was kidnapped on Sunday 27th March 2016, was found dead at about 6.00pm.

According to the army, preliminary investigation revealed that most likely the late senior officer was killed same day he was kidnapped by his abductors.

The report added that the body was found already decomposing around Ajyaita village off Eastern Bypass Kaduna, Kaduna State.
