Kwara Pilgrims Board Sets Payment Deadline for 2027 Hajj

ILORIN, Nigeria — The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced September 26, 2026, as the deadline for intending pilgrims to complete payments and submit all required documentation for the 2027 Hajj exercise.

The board said the deadline is intended to ensure a smooth and timely preparation process for the pilgrimage, urging prospective pilgrims to comply with the schedule to avoid delays or disruptions to their travel arrangements.

According to the board, all intending pilgrims are expected to complete the payment of the prescribed Hajj fare and provide the necessary travel documents within the stipulated period. Officials noted that early compliance would enable the board to finalise logistics, process travel documentation and meet timelines set by the relevant authorities.

The board also advised applicants to ensure that their international passports and other required documents are valid and submitted on time. It explained that delays in documentation could affect visa processing and other pre-departure arrangements.

Officials urged intending pilgrims to maintain regular contact with the board for updates on the pilgrimage and to obtain accurate information regarding payment procedures, medical screening, orientation programmes and travel schedules.

The Kwara Pilgrims Board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a seamless Hajj operation and called on all registered pilgrims to cooperate with officials throughout the preparation process.

The board further advised intending pilgrims to avoid dealing with unauthorised individuals or agents and to make all payments through approved channels to prevent fraud.

It assured prospective pilgrims that it would continue to provide guidance and support throughout the exercise to ensure that eligible participants are adequately prepared for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
