The body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has arrived at the Nigerian Airforce wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State.
The body is set to be flown to Abuja as final arrangements for his burial intensify.
It was received by soldiers of the Guards Brigade who are set to pay their last respects to Lagbaja.
The army Chief, who died last week, is remembered as a committed leader whose tenure was marked by significant achievements in military operations and the welfare of soldiers
