Men of the Lagos State police command have arrested popular Nigerian hip hop artist, Panshak Zamani better known as Ice Prince Zamani.
According to a statement on Friday morning by the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, the musician, who rose to fame after releasing “Oleku”, one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time, was arrested for alleged abduction of police officer and for threatening to dump him in a river.
Hundeyin said, “At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
