Lesotho, however, sprung a surprise when Tshwarelo Bereng scored for his team leaving observers at the Nest of champions stunned.
Semilogo Ajayi came to the rescue for Nigeria in the 67th minute, heading in the Super Eagles equalizer after a corner by Kelechi Iheanacho.
At full time, it was Nigeria 1-1 Lesotho.
The Super Eagles thus started the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers quest with a stalemate at home.
