“In the face of challenges, our peculiar activities/responsibilities as law makers must therefore reflect.

“For decades we have talked about diversifying the economy but have failed.

“This Senate is determined to put in legislations to enable the diversification of the Nigerian economy.

“The elect transaction law ll reduce cost of doing business, this legal framework will open up opportunities for young people.

“Bankruptcy Act will improve the ease of doing business, the process will becomes less stressful & will transform the economy.

“Review of the Procurement Act is another bill before the senate. We believe tha FG should patronise locally made goods.

“I dream of a day when a trader in Oshogbo and a farmer in Ogoja will benefit from the Senate.”

Senate President Bukola Saraki now ends his speech followed with a standing ovation from Distinguished Senators.

Senate Whip, Adeyeye says he is glad to see that the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as the SP of the Senate has not been reversed.

Sen Adeyeye still speaking says the Senate cannot mark 8th Senate @ 1 with just the positive aspects because some ills have gone down in 1yr.

“If we say we have not sinned we call ourselves liars.

“Senator Adeyeye speaks extensively on the happenings going on in the country. He says the Senate has to come together to make things work.
