The Senate now moves to consider request of President Buhari on the confirmation of the nomination of Chairman and Commissioners of NERC – Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Senate now moves to consider the report of the Committee on Niger Delta on the screening of the nomination of Chairman & Members of NDDC…

Sen Peter Nwaoboshi makes his presentation with reservation for the nominee from Imo who did not appear for screening and nominees from Abia and Ondo State who are not from Oil producing areas which generated arguments.

The senate now resolves to the committee of the whole to consider the nominees.

16 out of the 19 nominees were confirmed.

Hon. Donatus Enyinnaya of Abia State, Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso, Imo State and Olatokunbo Ayotunde Ajasin of Ondo State were not confirmed
