Liverpool FC came from behind at Anfield to get the better of Aston Villa and pick up their fifteenth Premier League win this season.

Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final opposition, who they will meet in the second leg on Wednesday (9:00pm CEST), struggled after going behind in the first half.

Salah levelled things with 56 minutes gone before Alexander-Arnold completed the comeback for Klopp’s men in the 90th minute.

Aston Villa came out in fearless fashion despite Liverpool controlling possession in the first half and it was the visitors who went ahead on 42′ thanks to a Watkins strike.

In first-half injury time, Firmino had the ball in the back of the net but his effort was ruled out for an offside against Jota.

Liverpool upped the pressure in the second half and Salah headed home to make it 1-1.

The hosts continued to push forward without reward and just when it seemed the game would finish level, a fierce Alexander-Arnold strike found the net on 90′ to clinch victory for the hosts.
