A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after confronting staff at an MTN Nigeria office over what he described as the unusually rapid depletion of his internet data subscription.
According to viral clips making the rounds on social media, the visibly frustrated customer questioned how his ₦45,000 router data plan could be exhausted in just four days, insisting that the situation was becoming unbearable.
“How can 45k finish in 4 days? Where do you want me to see another 45k to recharge now? It is becoming too much,” he lamented during the heated exchange.
The incident, which reportedly took place at one of MTN’s service centers, quickly drew attention online, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences and expressing concerns over data consumption rates across networks. Others, however, suggested that factors such as background app usage, automatic updates, and multiple connected devices could contribute to faster data depletion.
