Ochoudo Martin Agbaso has distanced himself from a purported “propaganda story” which, according to him, is meant to detract him from his commitment to Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi
Agbaso made the remarks in a statement he personally signed and made available to News Band on Thursday.
He stated categorically that ‘the paragraph that relates to him in the fabricated story is completely false and a handiwork of desperate politicians’.
He stressed that his full allegiance is to Labour Party and that he is pleased with the candidacy of Peter Obi as the presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential election.

Agbaso, who said that he joined the Party out of “personal decision borne out of the desire to be part of a new progressive movement in search of a progressive and just Nigeria, assured that he will join in the mobilization for Peter Obi’s victory and the party in the election.
The statement reads in part: “My attention has been drawn to a propaganda story titled “How Hope Uzodimma hijacked Peter Obi’s Labour Party in Imo”.
“I wish to alert the general public that the paragraph that relates to me in the fabricated story is completely false and a handiwork of desperate politicians.
“I cannot and will never be a tool in the hand of anybody to pursue his or her political interest in any organization.
“My joining the Labour Party was my personal decision borne out of the desire to be part of a new progressive movement in search of a progressive and just Nigeria which the Labour Party presently represents.
“I am also pleased with the candidacy of Mr Peter Obi as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 presidential election and will join in the mobilization for his victory and the party in the general election.”
He, therefore, warned those behind the “falsehood” to stop dragging hisname to their illicit pursuit of their political ambition.
He also urged the general public to dismiss and disregard the story as entirely untrue.
