Mbaukwu Community in Anambra State has expressed great admiration for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship candidate, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu and his running mate, Dr. Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu.
Mbaukwu took sides with the ADC flag-bearers during their visit to the community on October 20, 2025.
Reacting to the visit, Mr. Ikechukwu Augustine Obah, an enthusiastic follower of Mr. Nwosu, told Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) that “the masses are enveloped in joy”.
Mr. Obah said: “It has become a political tradition that wherever the African Democratic Congress goes, the masses are enveloped in joy, chanting a unified message: “THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE IS HERE!””
Obah said that Mbaukwu Community was alive with excitement as it welcomed the ADC campaign team, led by the Deputy Governorship candidate, Dr. Geoffrey Ndubisi Nwobu.

Nwobu disappointed with APGA
On his part and without holding back, Dr. Nwobu expressed profound disappointment regarding the state of development in the community.
He especially considered the fact that Mbaukwu produced the current deputy governor of the state.
He urged the residents to transcend partisan sentiments and support the ADC in the upcoming elections on November 8.
Nwobu asserted that ADC is the only party equipped to make Anambra truly livable, progressive, and prosperous.
Mbaukwu Community stakeholders support ADC
An elated Mbaukwu Community stakeholders and key figures of the community took turns to express their admiration and support for African Democratic Congress.
They lauded the visionary efforts of John Nwosu and Ndubisi Nwobu, as encapsulated in their agenda aimed at rejuvenating our beloved state.
They also vowed to elect ADC on November 8.
“It is evident that ADC’s message of hope has garnered admiration and acceptance from Ndi Anambra, both within and outside the state.
“As a result, over 85% of Ndi Anambra, weary of the empty rhetoric of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), are committed to voting for the ADC on November 8,” said Obah.
John Nwosu Condemns Purported Donations to Soludo’s Campaign
In another development. Nwosu has reacted to reports of massive donations allegedly made by some groups and communities to Governor Charles Soludo ahead of the governorship election.
Speaking with journalists, Mr. Nwosu described the development as deeply troubling, warning that it raises serious concerns under the nation’s electoral laws, as well as moral and legal questions.
“I’m aware of reports that some groups and towns have made humongous donations to Governor Soludo and APGA in purported support of his campaign.
“Such donations raise real concerns about compliance with the Electoral Act, morality, and the rule of law,” he said.
He noted that while individuals are free to support candidates of their choice, any form of quid-pro-quo arrangement—such as inflated contracts with kickbacks disguised as campaign donations—would amount to corruption and criminal subterfuge.
Mr. Nwosu also questioned reports that certain local governments had joined in the donations despite having little to show for the funds received from the federal government.
