Mexico thrash Nigeria 4-0 in friendly match

The home-based squad of the Super Eagles of Nigeria was defeated 4-0 by the El Tri of Mexico in a friendly match which was played on Sunday morning.

Hector Herrera put the Mexicans in front in the 2nd minute from the first cornerkick of the match while Rogelio Funes Mori made it 2-0 in the fourth minute, Udo kept him on-side as the referee awarded the goal despite calls for an offside by the Nigerian side.

It was a fantastic start from the Mexicans in the first half which ended 2-0 at the Memorial Coliseum stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Herrera, the Atlético Madrid player, scored the third goal from a rebound by Nwabali Stanley after a shot from Hirving Lozano.

In the 77th minute, Jonathan Dos Santos netted another goal that completed the Eagles humiliation in the hands of the Mexicans.
