The body of a commercial motorcyclist, Isah Ibrahim, was found lifeless inside a well at Ore Stadium in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, days after he was reported missing.

The shocking discovery was made on Thursday, following Ibrahim’s disappearance on August 17.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the state’s Police spokesman, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Razaq, has ordered a thorough probe to uncover the truth and ensure justice is served.

“We urge all parties involved to remain calm as the Police will investigate the matter, and the law will catch up with the perpetrators of this heinous crime”, Ayanlade assured.

It was gathered that Ibrahim’s colleagues had searched extensively around Ore before his remains were eventually discovered in the well.

Adding to the suspicion of foul play, Ibrahim’s Bajaj motorcycle remains missing, a detail that has raised concerns about a potential case of motorcycle snatching.

A fellow commercial motorcyclist, speaking anonymously, suggested that the incident might be linked to the rising cases of motorcycle theft in the area.

“We urge the Police and other security agencies to track down these criminals, arrest them, and find a lasting solution to the insecurity in Ore because our lives are no longer safe”, the motorcyclist said.
