Moghalu Gets Ubah Legacy Endorsement-

The 2025 Anambra gubernatorial race has taken a dramatic and potentially game-changing turn, as the political family of the late Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah — through the influential Door-2-Door Grassroots Movement, has officially endorsed Chief Dr. George Moghalu, the Labour Party candidate.

This endorsement is widely considered a major boost to Moghalu’s candidacy, positioning him as a frontrunner in the heated contest for Agu Awka.

The formal declaration of support took place during a high-level strategic gathering at Moghalu’s residence in Uruagu-Nnewi.

There, top leaders and grassroots operatives from the Door-2-Door Movement, a group historically aligned with Senator Ubah’s political ideals, pledged their unwavering allegiance to Dr. Moghalu and vowed to mobilize across all 326 wards of the state.

In an emotionally charged address to the energized crowd, Chief Dr. George Moghalu expressed heartfelt gratitude for their support.

He described the endorsement as a major turning point in the journey toward the Anambra State Government House.

“I’m deeply humbled by this show of trust and solidarity,” Moghalu said.

“This is not just politics.

“It is a movement for a better Anambra.

“I promise you: I stand by my words. Loyalty and trust define who I am.

“With your commitment, I assure you I will not fail.”

Drawing strength from faith and the shared aspirations of the people, Moghalu added, “This is just the beginning.

“He who began this good work will bring it to completion.

“Let’s not forget — it is God that makes kings.”

He emphasized inclusiveness, assuring the Door-2-Door Movement that they would be fully absorbed into his campaign structure.

The endorsement was formally announced by Hon. Bona Ogbonna, Founder and Convener of the Door-2-Door Grassroots Movement.

Hon. Ogbonna spoke passionately on behalf of the political family of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

“After careful evaluation of his integrity, leadership track record, and enduring commitment to our people, we are fully convinced that Chief Dr. George Moghalu is the most qualified and prepared candidate for the job,” Ogbonna declared.

“This decision was not made lightly. It is the collective stance of our political family, the legacy team of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

“We are united in this mission and are placing our trust in Dr. Moghalu to deliver a brighter future for Anambra.”

Ogbonna went on to say that Moghalu’s humility, proven public service, and consistency made him the natural heir to continue the vision championed by the late Senator.

The decision, he noted, also honors the enduring legacy of Ubah, who was known for his grassroots mobilization and people-centric politics.

Political observers say the endorsement marks a significant realignment within the Anambra political landscape.

With one of the most formidable grassroots structures in the state now behind him, Dr. Moghalu’s campaign is expected to gather even greater momentum in the weeks ahead.

The Door-2-Door Movement, which played a crucial role in past electoral victories under Senator Ubah’s leadership, is renowned for its strong presence in both rural and urban communities.

Their support is widely seen as a strategic asset, capable of shifting electoral outcomes and energizing voter bases across the state.

As the campaign season intensifies, Moghalu’s growing coalition of supporters and the endorsement from such a respected and influential political bloc signals rising confidence in his leadership.

It also signals a reshaping of political alliances ahead of the 2025 polls.

With the Door-2-Door Movement now at the forefront of his campaign, Dr. George Moghalu stands on the brink of making history.

Observers believe that this history is made even more possible with a powerful grassroots army ready to march with him all the way to Agu Awka.
