Moghalu visits motherless babies homes, offers scholarship, donates stuff

The Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, (NIWA) Chief Dr. George Nnadubem Moghalu has visited the Nigeria Red Cross Society Babies Home onitsha, Onitsha South Motherless Babies Home Onitsha, Tender care motherless babies home Awka, Jesus kids motherless babies home Awka and Sisters of charity motherless babies home Nnewi, all in Anambra State.

The NIWA boss presented food stuffs, huge sum of money and other items that worth thousands of naira to the Five motherless babies homes, respectively.

Making the presentation during the visit, Chief Moghalu stated that orphans were important members of the society and that he would continue to support them.

He called on well-meaning Nigerians to show love to motherless babies, saying that such gestures would give them a sense of belonging.

According to him: “If we look at what is happening in our society at the moment, I believe children can have a better deal in respective of their station in life whether orphans or not”.

In his quest and love for education and acquisition of skills for the younger children, the NIWA boss offered scholarship to little Miss Mmesomachukwu and four others for her brilliance, charisma and leadership skills, aptly espoused especially on the way she led other little kids in prayer over the gifts brought to them by Chief Moghalu, as the NIWA boss affirms that every child deserves quality education and a better life.

The directors of the all the Motherless Babies Homes were so overwhelmed with joy that they began praying for God’s blessings and protection on Chief Dr George Moghalu, the Ohamadike of Nnewi.
