More resignations and withdrawals are hitting Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) harder as Valentine Ozigbo, Tony Nwoye, Val Ayika, and many more leave the party in droves.
News Band reported on May 25 that palpable tension is in the party as PDP stalwarts in the South East region resolved to resign from the party en masse.
Among those that tendered their resignation or shown strong signs of resignation, include the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, et al.
News Band reported that the grouse of the party chieftains towards the mass exit was inspired by the latest refusal of the party to zone the presidential seat to the South East region amidst other grievances.
In a new wave of resignations and withdrawals, a strong ally of Peter Obi, Mr. Oseloka Henry Obaze, announced his exit from the battered party.
