The family of late Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu has once again been thrown into controversy following fresh allegations made by his first wife against Stella Okafor.
In a strongly worded statement, she claimed that Stella who she described as the fifth wife of the late actor was involved in actions she considers questionable both before and after his passing.
According to her, tensions began while the actor was still on his sickbed. She alleged that Stella had her first son and their adopted daughter arrested, claiming they were in charge of funds donated by Nigerians for the actor’s treatment.
She further accused Stella of selling one of the late actor’s properties in Enugu for about ₦18 million after his death. In addition, she claimed that Stella raised concerns about flooding issues in Mr. Ibu’s Lagos residence, which reportedly led to the family arranging a rented apartment for her only for her to allegedly move to sell the Lagos property as well.
The first wife also alleged that following the actor’s burial, funds were mismanaged, claiming that money donated by the public was spent irresponsibly.
In her statement, she expressed anger and frustration, warning that there would be consequences for such actions and suggesting that the situation may worsen over time.
The allegations come in response to claims made by Stella Okafor during a recent interview with King Mitchy, adding another layer to the ongoing dispute within the late actor’s family.
As of now, Stella Okafor has not publicly responded to these latest accusations.
