The actress said she feared her husband and therefore did not challenge him over his actions even though she was angry.

“I usually get angry, but I could not challenge my husband because I was always afraid of him,” Mama Ereko said.

She recalled that the emotional control he had over her stopped her from standing up for herself.

Mama Ereko recalled that she later lost the husband and was now forced to fend for herself and her children.

She said she loved acting from the days of black and white TV when she longed to become one of the actresses of the time.

But her parents did not condone acting as a serious vocation that their children should venture into, and she also could not do it under her husband.

However, when she became independent, she ventured into acting, but had to quit because it was not fetching her money and she had to feed her children and send them to school.
