Pastor Tobi Adegboyega has spoken about the evolving identity of SPAC Nation, saying the organisation is no longer focused exclusively on Christians but now welcomes Muslims and people from other backgrounds.
According to Adegboyega, his role is not to force anyone to abandon their religion, but to encourage people to believe in Christ while creating communities where people of different faiths can work together.
“SPAC Nation started out being for Christians, but now it’s for Muslims and for everyone. My job is not to make anyone change their religion; I just want them to believe in Christ to build communities together and the Quran is not against it,” he said.
His comments highlight his stated approach of creating an inclusive community while maintaining Christianity and belief in Christ as part of the organisation’s message.
The remarks have generated discussion around interfaith engagement, particularly his assertion that Muslims can participate in the community without being required to change their religion.
Adegboyega is the founder of SPAC Nation, a church and youth-focused organisation that has attracted significant attention in the United Kingdom and Nigeria through its work with young people and community initiatives.
His latest comments are likely to fuel further conversations about the relationship between evangelism, interfaith cooperation and religious identity in increasingly diverse communities.
