NAF neutralizes bandits in Niger State

The NAF has launched a decisive operation, neutralizing numerous bandits and destroying their logistics base.

This action took place in Alawa Forest, located in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

On January 21, NAF executed the operation based on credible intelligence and aerial surveillance.

This confirmed the presence of armed terrorists linked to violent activities, including two IED attacks on December 19, 2024, in Bassa, Shiroro LGA, causing civilian casualties.

Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, Director of Public Relations and Information, announced that the operation, codenamed KONAN DAJI, formed part of a sustained three-day air offensive.
