Nigerian actress and media personality Nancy Isime has stirred conversations online following her candid remarks about parenthood during a recent appearance on Grand Prince Ita’s podcast.
Speaking on life and the realities of raising children, Isime shared a thought-provoking perspective, suggesting that if people truly understood the struggles of life, they might reconsider bringing children into the world.
“If you really love children, you won’t want to bring them into the world. Are you not suffering? Don’t you feel some days that you wish you hadn’t been born? Everybody has to suffer; they will come and suffer their own,” she said.
When asked whether her views meant she would not have children, Isime explained that suffering is an inevitable part of life, noting that her future children, like everyone else, would face their own challenges.
Her remarks have since generated widespread discussion, with many reflecting on the realities of life, personal choices, and the responsibilities that come with parenthood.
The conversation continues to highlight differing perspectives on raising children, as well as the balance between life’s hardships and its meaningful experiences.
