There was drama on Monday at the new wing of the Senate complex as the Parliamentary Staff slapped the Minority whip of the Senate, Senator Biodun Olujinmi.
It was gathered that the Senator was on her way to attend the subsidy probe by Senate Committee on Downstream stream when she saw a National Assembly staff in an elevator earmarked for the lawmakers.
Our correspondent gathered that the National Assembly staff was on his way to attend a meeting scheduled by Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) to brain storm on proposed strike of the Union.
However , Olujinmi citing the National Assembly staff to step out of the elevator which he declined, a development which made the former Deputy governor to direct his aide to slap National Assembly staff which he did.
But in retaliation , the unidentified National Assembly staff slapped the minority whip back, a development which created uproar in the Senate wing of the National Assembly.
Olujimi left the elevator and challenged the PASAN official, but was immediately covered by the Sergent at Arm’s and PASAN members.
It was gathered that efforts to compel the unidentified staff to apologise hit the brick was as the PASAN staff vowed not to apologise.
Senator however vowed to pursue the matter to the logical end.
