A Nigerian Navy personnel, Faruk Yusuf, who was newly deployed to Onitsha, Anambra state, has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen one week to his wedding.
Yusuf was recently posted to Onitsha, and he was preparing to wed in a week’s time before his life was unfortunately cut short by unknown gunmen who waylaid him in the city.
The late Yusuf is an indigene of Borno state.
Recall that there has been a horrible rise in the level of insecurity within the Southeast region after unknown gunmen have been invading security formations, killing security personnel and carting away their weapons.
However, the governor of Anambra State has vowed to fish out those behind the attacks in the state as they will be meant to face the full weight of the law
