Ndi-Anambra Worldwide Demand Free, Fair Guber Election

Ndi-Anambra Worldwide, under the auspices of ASA-World, have demanded a free and fair Anambra State 2025 governorship election.

ASA-World made the call on the eve of the November 8, 2025, state gubernatorial election in a press release communicated from its Secretariat in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The statement was signed by ASA-World Chairman, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze.

Other signatories to the statement are the Secretary-General, Hon. Chudi Asidianya, and the DSG, Security Council, Mr. Mike Okaka.

The group states as follows:

1) The election must be free and fair.

2) All registered voters must vote their conscience.

3) If any candidate offers you money or any inducement to vote for them, you should take the money and the inducement but vote your convenience.

4) That if the election is found to be legitimate, free, and fair, all the contenders must accept the results and work together in concert with the legitimately declared winner for the good of Ndi-Anambra.

5) That the winner must also be gracious in winning.

ASA-World thanked all those candidates who took their time to appear on its town hall meeting to tell Ndi-Anambra in the diaspora their agenda for a better Anambra.

“Long live Anambra State, the light of the nation!” the statement added.

It was issued on behalf of Ndi-Anambra in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Germany, Denmark, and South Africa.

Its affiliate countries include Liberia, Spain, Ireland France, Belarus, Russia, Australia, Finland, and Ireland.

Major contenders in Anambra governorship election

Here are some of the major contenders in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election, scheduled for 8 November 2025, and their key details:

  • Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo (All Progressives Grand Alliance — APGA)

Incumbent governor of Anambra State.

Won his party’s nomination unopposed with 3,171 votes.

Seen as having the advantage of incumbency and strong party structure in the state.

Former House of Representatives member.

Secured his party’s ticket with 1,455 votes, defeating Valentine Ozigbo.

Viewed as a key challenger to Soludo.

Represents a third-force option, though the contest is often viewed as mainly between APGA and APC.

Businessman and entrepreneur; nominated by ADC for the governorship race.
