Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has denied being involved in a road accident and in coma on Thursday.

Governor El-Rufai took to his Twitter handle and his Facebook page to debunk the news making round that he was involved in a fatal accident.

According to the rumour making the round, El-Rufai fell into come following the accident.

Lere Olayinka had written on his Twitter handle @OlayinkaLere:

“He went to Abuja to plan the rigging of Kano, Sokoto, Adamawa and Bauchi rerun elections with six other governors, he had fatal accident while returning to his State. Driver confirmed dead already.

“If you help me see that midget Governor of Kaduna, Nasir el-Rufai, wish him soonest recovery. “

Reacting, however, the governor said that he was at post-election receptions in Kaduna on Sunday night and not in Kano as alleged.

See tweet below:

On Facebook he wrote:

“KADUNA UPDATE: I woke up after a rare 8-hour bout of deep sleep to learn that some bigotry-driven, PDP-affiliated fake news platform has declared my driver dead and my humble self in coma.

“Both claims are false. I thank them for reducing the days in their lives and adding them to mine.

“I remain their permanent nightmare and not about to disappear from their wretched and corrupt lives any time soon by the Grace of Almighty Allah, until they are permanently retired and buried.”
