New Nigerian peoples’ party condemns attack on Agwa Residents

The New Nigerian peoples’ party (NNPP) Imo State has condemned the recent attacks on residents of Agwa community along Oguta /Ejemekuru Road.

In a press statement signed by Comrade Chidiebere Godwill Enyia publicity secretary of NNPP Imo State, the party Chairman, Engr Innocent Orji described the incident as an assault on fundamental human rights as guaranteed by the 1999 constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.

The NNPP Imo state strongly condemned the attacks, calling for peace and harmony to be restored in the community.

The party urge law enforcement agents to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the security of the community.

Engr Orji cited section 33 of the 1999 constitution as amended which guarantee citizens’ right to life, and emphasized the government’s duty to protect its citizens.

The NNPP Chairman urged the Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinmma to visit the community and reassure them of his government’s commitment to tackling insecurity.

The party expressed sympathy with the families affected and urge the residents to remain calm and law- abiding while security personnel do their work.

4. Restructure: Manage the economy for the benefit of all citizens.
5. Revitalization: Revamp key sectors like agriculture, education, and health.
6. Revival : Reconstruct essential infrastructures nationwide.
7. Rejig: Modernize the nation’s security architecture.
8. Reformation: Reform the civil and public services.
9. Reorientation: Engage women and youth in restoring social and cultural values.
10. Relaunch: Position Nigeria as a major sub-regional and continental actor.
11. Reposition: Place Nigeria in its rightful position globally.

Economic Policy
– Focus: Introduce macro and micro-economic policies for sectorial stability and performance.

– Objectives: Ensure greater participation by Nigerians in economic affairs, harness individual creative energies, and promote economic productivity and international competitiveness.

Key Sectoral Policies
Agriculture: Develop rural areas, attain self-sufficiency in food production, promote mechanized agriculture, and provide raw materials for agro-allied industries.

– Manufacturing: Revitalize existing industries, provide a conducive environment for new ones, and promote local production and industrial development.

Energy: Ensure balanced exploitation and harnessing of energy resources, guarantee adequate and steady energy supply.

-Mining and Petroleum: Develop the petroleum/petrochemical industry, exploit and protect mineral resources, and reactivate the coal mining industry
