The United States has submitted a new nuclear proposal to Iran.

White House officials describe the proposal as “detailed and acceptable” , Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports.

She emphasized President Trump’s firm stance on preventing Iranian nuclear armament.

“President Trump has made it clear Iran must never obtain a nuclear bomb,” Leavitt stated.

She confirmed the proposal was sent by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Leavitt said it is in Iran’s best interest to accept the proposal.

The White House declined to release details, citing diplomatic sensitivity.

Iran acknowledged receipt of the proposal on Saturday evening.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed Oman’s role in delivering the message.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi visited Tehran briefly for the delivery.

Araghchi said Iran will respond based on national interest and principles.

He posted this statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The nuclear talks have been stalled for years due to major disagreements.

Key sticking points remain uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and regional military behavior.

Despite this, recent statements suggest narrowing gaps between the two sides.

President Trump recently said a deal with Iran might be possible.

“We are fairly close to an agreement,” he said last Friday.

This proposal followed the fifth round of indirect talks in Rome.

The May 23 meeting was mediated by officials from Oman.

Earlier rounds of talks had ended without substantial progress or resolution.

Diplomatic sources say this time, there is cautious optimism.

Witkoff has become increasingly central to U.S.–Iran diplomatic efforts.

His coordination with Oman has helped maintain discreet communication channels.

Oman continues to play a trusted mediator role in the region.

The U.S. hopes this prevents further Middle East instability.

Leaders on both sides are under mounting political pressure to deliver.

Iran faces deepening economic woes and internal unrest.

The U.S. seeks a resolution without sparking further regional conflict.

Analysts believe the proposal could be a pivotal turning point.

No deadline has been announced for Iran’s formal response.

Experts predict both sides will act soon under international scrutiny.

Witkoff’s proposal is part of a broader diplomatic strategy.

Its aim is to reduce tensions and prevent nuclear escalation.

Regional leaders are watching developments with growing interest and concern.

Iran’s response will shape the direction of future U.S. policy.

This could define the course of Middle East diplomacy for years.

Cautious hope remains as both nations weigh their next move.
