Next presidential debate to hold 16 of November

The Nigerian Elections Debates Group (NEDG), in collaboration with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) is organising a presidential debate on Economic Policy that will hold on the 16th of November, 2022.

This according to the organisers will serve as a launch pad for discussions on the roadmap towards an inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and the one of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu have been in the eye of storm after the duo absconded from the presidential debate organised by Arise Television in conjunction with Center for Development and Democracy in Abuja, on Sunday.

During the debate, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa was booed by the audience who insisted he cannot represent his principal. While Shettima Kashim, the vice of Bola Tinubu was completely absent.

However, Doyin Okupe, the Director General of the Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation, has said that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi will no longer show up for debates if his counterparts in other parties do not attend.

Okupe made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
