Nigeria: Retired judge, hotelier explains why more hospitality investment will move to Kwara

Justice Lambo Akanbi Rtd has stated that Ilorin, capital of Kwara State will remain a hospitality hub as far as the foreseeable future.
According to him, the advent of mining and influx of more foriegners into Kwara will continue to drive the hospitality industry in the state.
Akanbi is also the chairman, Emirate Global Hotels, Ilorin, one biggest hotels in the state.
“When you look at Ilorin and Kwara in particular, it was regarded as purely a civil service town ten years ago.
“But things have started changing. Mining, for instance is taking its place in Kwara. It attracts foriegners and when they come they need a place to stay.
“They spring up every day.
It is like everybody wants to be in the hospitality business.
“But it is not easy.
