Nigerian Embassy Investgates Killing Ogorchukwu in Italy

The Nigerian Embassy in Italy has called for the Nigerian community to remain calm while the killing of a Nigerian, Alika Ogorchukwu, in Civitanova Marche city, is investigated.

It was reported that the killing took place in the Province of Macerata, Marche Region of Italy on Friday.

In a statement issued by the Embassy and reposted by the Nigerian In Diaspora Commission on Saturday, it was revealed that an Italian beat the 39-year-old Nigerian to death.

It was also reported that though the killing took on a busy street, no attempt was made to rescue him as onlookers merely did video recordings.

A photo from the scene showed a white man straddling the deceased with his hands around his neck.
