The Nigerian community in Sunderland, United Kingdom, is in mourning following the tragic murder of Allen Adeyemi Tejan, a 40-year-old resident of Lily Street, Millfield.

Mr. Tejan was found dead with severe head injuries, and despite the efforts of the police and medical professionals, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Steel, the senior investigating officer, expressed his condolences to Mr. Tejan’s family and acknowledged the immense difficulty they are now facing.

The police have arrested the suspect, Adrian Wright, aged 53 and with no fixed abode, who has since been charged and appeared before the Magistrates in South Tyneside.

The Nigerian community in Sunderland and nearby cities have strongly condemned the killing, describing it as a tragic incident.

They have decided to take action and organize a protest to demand justice for their fellow community member.

While a specific date for the protest has not been set, it has been confirmed that the Nigerian community in Sunderland is resolute in raising their voices to condemn this act of violence.

Sunderland is home to a significant number of Nigerians who have made valuable contributions to the local economy and are law-abiding residents.

Their solidarity in seeking justice highlights the importance of community cooperation in addressing such heinous crimes and supporting the victims and their families.
