A Nigerian military combat drone has crashed in Niger State’s Kontagora forest, raising concerns about aerial operations in the North-Central region.
Diaspora Digital Media understand that the unmanned aircraft went down on Friday, with the cause unknown.
A photo shows the wreckage in the forest, with no explosion reported.
Meanwhile, separately, a video surfaced showing men, suspected to be herdsmen, handling fragments of a claimed US military bomb dropped in Sokoto State on Christmas Day.
The men mocked the US military, saying “no bomb or missile can hit Nigerian soil” and boasting Nigerians are stronger than foreign forces.
The Nigerian military and Niger State government haven’t commented on the drone crash.
