The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Tinubu to remain alert amid growing international tension over alleged Christian killings in Nigeria.
The warning comes as the United States, led by President Donald Trump, accused Nigeria’s government of turning a blind eye to the persecution of Christians.
Trump had threatened possibly military action and sanctions against Nigeria if the violence continues unchecked.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said he had repeatedly warned that America would interfere in Tinubu’s administration.
According to him, the latest accusations are part of a grand plan to destabilize the government and remove Tinubu from power before or during the 2027 election.
“I have been talking about America fighting Tinubu’s government, but they didn’t take me seriously,” Ayodele said.
“When I spoke about the coup, many criticized me. But what is happening now proves me right. Some call me a prophet of doom, but everything I said has been coming to pass.”
He insisted that the allegations of genocide are a political weapon designed to weaken Tinubu’s grip on power and silence his administration.
“This is beyond human rights issues,” he added. “It’s an orchestrated plot to send Tinubu out of power. The president hasn’t seen it that way yet, but he must wake up.”
The cleric further claimed that opposition figures have already reached secret agreements with international powers to secure their backing in removing Tinubu from office.
“Either Tinubu likes it or not, this is a signal,” Ayodele warned. “It’s a move to weaken his government and empower the opposition.
The opposition has sealed deals with some international countries to get support to remove Tinubu from office. It’s a gang-up. He must not sleep on it.”
Primate Ayodele urged Tinubu to seek divine guidance and prepare for a turbulent political period. “More is coming,” he cautioned.
“The American government doesn’t want Tinubu in 2027. Only God can protect his government from collapse.”
As global tension grows over US accusations, Ayodele’s warning adds a spiritual dimension to what analysts already describe as one of Nigeria’s most serious diplomatic crises in years.
