Nigerians are hungry, suffering, not happy with Tinubu — Fayemi

Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has declared that Nigerians are suffering under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
In a viral video sighted by this medium, Fayemi, while speaking in Yoruba language, decried the level of hunger and financial hardship in the country, pointing to deteriorating infrastructure and what he described as federal neglect of key development efforts.
“Except we are deceiving ourselves, Nigerians are not happy with the Federal Government because of hunger and lack of money,” he said.
He said given the current harsh economic condition of the country, Nigerians were unlikely to support Tinubu in the next general election.
On road infrastructure, he criticised the federal government for not doing enough to repair or rehabilitate major roads.
Fayemi said anyone who plied Efon Alaaye to Erio Ekiti would endure a lot of difficulties on the road.
He said it would be the same situation for anyone coming from Omuo Ekiti through Ilasa Ekiti to Ayedun Ekiti.
Fayemi recalled that when his administration did the road that Governor Biodun Oyebanji just completed, they spent between N18 billion and N20 billion.
The former governor, however, lamented that the Federal Government refused to refund the money, claiming they did not send them to rehabilitate it.
He said if the money had been refunded, the current governor could have used it to do phase 2 of the road he did from Ado Ekiti to Iyin Ekiti, and construct the road to Aramoko-Ekiti.
