The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has warned that heavy rainfall will drench six states between April 9 and 11, 2025.

Specifically, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta, and Ogun will experience moderate to heavy downpours.

Residents should brace for potential flooding and travel disruptions as the rain persists.

Meanwhile, lighter showers may dampen Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Abia, and Imo during the same period.

Conversely, some regions will stay dry, offering relief from wet conditions.

The weather patterns highlight Nigeria’s diverse climate, with varying impacts across different areas.

In Abuja, partly cloudy skies will dominate, with temperatures peaking in the upper 90s and dipping to the mid-70s.

Though humidity sits at 47%, only a 20% chance of rain exists today.

Despite the calm forecast, sudden weather shifts remain possible.

NiMet urges affected residents to take proactive steps to stay safe. Securing loose property, avoiding flooded roads, and monitoring updates can reduce risks.
