Nnamdi Kanu: I Was Offered Biafra With Only 5 Igbo States, I Refused
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday, disclosed that the Federal Government offered him a Republic of Biafra with only the five Igbo states while in prison.
According to Mazi Kanu, the five South East states will constitute the components parts of Biafra, an offer which he rejected.
He said that he rejected because that was not the full scope of the original Sovereign State of Biafra.
“They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers”, Kanu said.
He pointed out that “Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it”.
Kanu said that the Biafra he knew comprises of Rivers and Benue States.
When the offer failed, he claimed, he was offered an oil block and mansion in Dubai.
The offers were meant to coerce him to abandon the Biafran cause but that he rejected the offers and insisted on the actualization of Biafra.
The pro-Biafra activist claimed that their is no price greater than to actualize the restoration of Biafra Republic and liberate the Igbos from the Nigerian enclaves.
Kanu was speaking when leaders of Igbo Civil Society Coalition led by Prof. Obasi Igwe paid him a solidarity visit at his home in Umuahia.
He also gave knocks to Igbo elites for their anti-Biafra activities, saying that they have no interest in the Igbo masses.
