The revered traditional ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Orizu III, has, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, clocked one hundred years, extending his run as the longest living and reigning monarch in Nigeria.
During his historic centenary birthday celebration, Igwe Orizu bestowed chieftaincy titles on notable Nnewi sons and daughters to mark the occasion.
One of the recipients was a former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ben Chuks Nwosu, who bagged the title “Ogbalike Nnewi”.

Following the royal ceremony, Rt. Hon. Nwosu returned home to a warm and joyous reception from his family members and jubilant supporters.
The John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Council, led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) deputy governorship candidate, Chief Geoffrey Ndubuisi Nwobu, was on ground to welcome and celebrate with him.

Nwosu, it could be noted, also doubles as the Chief of Staff to the ADC governorship candidate’s John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Council.
“It was a moment of honor, tradition, and renewed inspiration for the JCN movement,” Chief Nwobu congratulated Hon. Nwosu.

More felicitations
Reacting to the conferment, the Chairman of the John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Organization, Ezennia (Engr.) Ike Iwenofu, also felicitated with Nwosu.
In a message entitled “Grand congratulations to Rt. Hon. Barr. Ben Chuks Nwosu (Ogbalike Nnewi)“, Engr. Iwenofu stated:
“The entire John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Council bursts with joy as we celebrate our indefatigable Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Barr. Benchuks Nwosu, on this glorious day of honour and recognition by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Orizu III of Nnewi, during the historic Centenary Birthday Celebration.

“You have continued to distinguish yourself as a pillar of strength and a shining example of leadership, loyalty, and integrity.
“Your honour today reflects the values we hold dear — service, excellence, and commitment to the greater good.
