Nnewi royal family – Orizu dumps APGA, cites Obiano as reason

Royal Orizu family of Nnewi in Anambra State, led by Prince Nnamsom Orizu (political Tiligada)  have dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA]

Members of the royal Orizu family of Nnewi in Anambra State, led by Hon. Prince Nnamsom Orizu (political Tiligada)  have dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA].

Prince Orizu, amongst other things, cited threat to his life, lopsided appointments by the state governor, Willie Obiano, sectionalism, autocratic style of leadership as reasons for the departure.

Hon. Prince Orizu (political Tiligada), to signal a total departure, highlighted the occasion by tearing his APGA membership card into pieces.

Some of the reasons he cited include :

1. As the chairman of house committee on petroleum, there was threat to his life due to his resolute to discharge his duties diligently without fear or favor.

2. There were plans orchestrated by some cabals to unleash palace coup on him as the chairman house committee on petroleum.

3. Lopsided appointment by Chief Willie Obiano administration in an alarming rate.

4. Poor performance of the governor (Willie) even though Obi had already raised bar of good governance.

5. Total abandoning of the “continuity” preached prior to 2013 election was completely relegated.

6. Willie’s autocratic style of leadership.

7. The issue of ANYI BU NDI-AGULERI in Obiano’s govt so we are free to deal with none Agulerians in the govt of our brother Willie.

The departure of the Orizus is one in a series of mass exodus from APGA. 

Recently, an APGA stalwart – Prince Chinedu Idigo – quitted the party for good

Prince Idigo (Esq) attended his party Ward meeting and simply submitted his APGA membership card and announce that he is quitting the party for good.

Prince Idigo is considered as the iroko holding Anambra North APGA together for 10 years.

The atmosphere was as silent as grave yard when he made the announcement; it was like the passage of a great masquerade in a land.

Emotions ran down as old men who could not hold back their tears were crying.
