No military jet was shut down in Orlu by ESN ~ Eye witness

Published

The unrest in Orlu, Imo State seems to be unending as the Nigerian military and other sister security agencies have continued to comb Orlu forest in a bid to fish out and neutralise Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Military jet

Moreover, there is a media report which says Eastern Security Network while engaging the Nigerian military on Thursday in a gun duel shut down a jet fighter.

Although, the news was disseminated online by media outlets controlled by the outlawed organization which further places a question mark on the credibility of the news considering the propaganda disposition of the movement.

An eye witness who spoke with ElombahNews from Orlu said there is no truth in the story and no military jet was shut down.

The eye witness said, “Yes, there was a military invasion but no jet fighter was shut down. The military war jet I and my neighbors sighted was only hovering in the sky. It caused tension as people started scampering for safety.

“We were even surprised when we read the news online that a military jet fighter was shut down by Eastern Security Network. We started wondering when it happened”.

When ElombahNews further asked the eye witness if the jet fighter opened fire on innocent civilians as it was combing Orlu community, it said “No, there was nothing like that. The story is fake”.

However, when ElombahNews team of investigators analysed a picture which was shared by the members of the outlawed organization as the debris of the jet fighter that was shut down by Eastern Security Network, it discovered it was fake.

The outlawed movement and their media outlets in their manipulative manner lifted an old picture of Nigeria AirForce jet that crashed in 2018 during Independence day rehearsal and fronted it as the jet fighter that was gunned down by ESN.

Fake story! Fake picture

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu had floated the Eastern Security Network as his private security late last year.

He said the security outfit will help to combat the excesses of terror herdsmen accused of kidnapping, rape and destruction of farm lands in the Southeast region but the latest operations of the organization has proven that there is more sinister motive behind its creation.
