Published

on

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ekiti State warns residents to avoid the dangerous practice of scooping fuel from fallen petrol tankers.

This warning highlights the severe risks, including explosions, injuries, and environmental damage.

Acting State Director, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akomolede, stated that although economic hardship may tempt individuals, human life and public safety must come first.

She urged residents to report fallen tankers to authorities for safe management.

The NOA is committed to raising awareness about the dangers of fuel scooping.

This educational initiative aims to prevent tragedies and protect lives and property throughout Ekiti State.

In a related effort, President Tinubu has instructed the NOA to initiate a nationwide campaign on the risks of fuel scooping.

This directive emphasizes the seriousness of the issue and the necessity for collective action.

Together, we can build safer communities and safeguard our loved ones.

Let’s prioritize safety and work collaboratively to prevent avoidable tragedies.
