Team Delta have so far garnered eight gold medals from the table tennis events at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Benin.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the medals came from both the able- and Para-table tennis categories of the competition.
Delta who is currently leading the overall medals table of the 20th NSF picked three gold medals from the able-men’s singles on Tuesday.
The team also garnered two gold medals from the Para-men’s class and one each from the deaf women event, Para-women’s team and para-women’s singles.
Edo and Lagos are tied behind Delta on the table tennis log with two gold medals each.
While Lagos won one gold each in the Para-men’s singles and deaf women’s singles, Edo got one gold each from Para-men’s singles and para-women’s singles.
Meanwhile, Imo, Kwara, Ogun, Ondo State, Oyo State and Rivers have also registered their names on the medals list with one gold each.(NAN)
