UNIJOS to host NUGA in November 2025

The date for this year’s NUGA games was officially announced on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

The Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) has officially announced that the 2025 NUGA Games will take place from November 5th to 16th, 2025, at the University of Jos, Plateau State.

The announcement was made during the NUGA Annual Council meeting at University of Jos.

This prestigious event will as always bring together top university athletes from across Nigeria, competing in various sports such as track and field, football, basketball, and more.

NUGA GAMES is known for promoting university sports and fostering a spirit of healthy competition, and it remains a key platform to discover young and skillful talents.

The University of Jos has already begun preparations to ensure a well-organized and memorable tournament.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya assured a hitch-free event.

He assured that the university will provide a conducive environment for athletes, officials, and spectators, ensuring a great experience for all participants.

Professor Ishaya has been actively involved in the preparations for the upcoming Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) games.

The University of Jos has a rich history of sports excellence, and hosting the NUGA games will be a fantastic opportunity for the institution to showcase its facilities and talent.
