Trouble started when Obiano insisted h that his SSA on MC, Mr. Chido who came from Anambra with him, would handle the MC job.
He even dared any person to challenge him even in a nation as civilised as USA .
First, the Hotel was fully booked that only Mbuze Agulu, who came first, got a room.
He came with one CY Agupugo from Agulu to prepare the way for AKPOKUE’s coming.
Gov Akpokue came, who left Nigeria on Monday and first travelled to Houston arrived NY yesterday with an entourage of 71 ONLY .
Unless you wonder how many seats my state occupied in the Airplane also the Hotel charges and other Logistics paid for in Dollars that is presently at 425 Naira, then there is nothing to raise eye brows about it .
The overcrowded delegates could not get rooms in the hotel.
The organizers of the event said they were not informed before now, otherwise they would have got rooms for Willie and his people.
In private, they expressed shock and unbelief that Akpokue could come to the USA with such number of aides in this time of recession.
They were more shocked that at the nearby Hotel where they got accommodation for him, he requested one presidential suite for himself and 19 other suites among many other rooms.
While the organizers are shocked beyond words and are wondering whom he is booking all those suites for, Akpokue is not happy with them for choosing Jamaica, one of the ghettoes of New York for the meeting.
He said they should have chosen Manhattan area in other not to embarrass Akpokue and other high ranking Igbos.
Akpokue is also insisting that he will deliver the key note address during the major event on Saturday, arguing that he is the leader of the Igbos and that he effectively took over from Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
